The seed is a warming stimulant herb with antibiotic effects. The seed is used in the treatment of tumours in China.

Other Uses: Green manure; Oil; Repellent.

Known Hazards: Mustard allergy possibly especially in children and adolescents. Retention of seeds possibly in intestines if taken internally.
